Ensemble Sinfonietta Bern under conductor Igor Andreev presents a newly arranged version of Carl Orff's masterpiece Carmina Burana in an intimate chamber setting. Based on medieval poems, this bold cantata explores cycles of fate, passion, love and loss through Orff's explosive choral music. The concert follows the traditional three-part structure framed by dramatic prologue and epilogue. The work is performed in German and English.
