About

Michael Aird from the University of Queensland examines how Aboriginal people were represented at international exhibitions in England during the 1800s and during a Royal Visit to Brisbane in 1901. Through photographs, he explores how colonial powers portrayed Indigenous history and traces how objects and images from these events now exist in museum collections worldwide. The lecture is held in English.
