This play is based on a novella by Boris Lavrenjov and follows a Red Army unit fleeing through the Central Asian desert during the Civil War. Marjutka, the unit's best marksman, has killed forty enemy officers until she captures the white officer Goworucha-Otrok during battle. A love story emerges from their enmity, like a small flower breaking through stone, echoing Romeo and Juliet. Performed in German.
