The Manesse Quartet and Nathalie Hubler present Russian and Nordic chamber music intertwined with texts on winter and Christmas. Literary passages by Wolfgang Borchert, Joseph Roth, Erich Kästner and Peter Hacks are accompanied by atmospheric string quartet sounds, exploring themes of hope, winter enchantment and the subtle nuances of the Christmas season. This concert blends music and literature into a tender whole, performed in German.
