Baritone Mikhail Timoshenko returns following his successful debut with Musikkollegium Winterthur, this time alongside his long-time piano partner Elitsa Desseva. The programme features Schumann's celebrated song cycle Dichterliebe on texts by Heinrich Heine and Othmar Schoeck's Elegie, a major work for baritone. Both works explore themes of melancholy, pain and solitude through an intimate interplay between voice and piano. The concert is sung in German.
