The Singfrauen Winterthur presents the world premiere of a choral suite by Jean-François Michel about a little-known chapter of Zurich history: women who petitioned the government in 1868 for inheritance rights, better education and political representation. Over 50 singers perform the multi-faceted work, accompanied by clarinet, accordion and narration, with welcoming remarks and historical context.
