The women's choir Singfrauen Winterthur performs songs by and for women from various countries including Finland, Georgia, Italy, Mexico and South Africa. The centrepiece is the world premiere of the choral suite «The Zurich Petitioners 1868» by Jean-François Michel, which illuminates a little-known aspect of Zurich history: in 1868, women submitted petitions to the government demanding fair inheritance rights, better education and political representation.
