Laudate Chor Zürich under conductor Eugenio Giovine performs works by Jan Dismas Zelenka, the long-neglected Baroque composer. The programme includes his Requiem in C minor, De Profundis and Miserere – three works exploring themes of death, transience and hope. Zelenka's music combines Baroque conventions with innovative elements, creating a surprisingly contemporary sound.
