The Jean-Paul Brodbeck Trio presents the pianist's newer compositions alongside standards from the Great American Songbook, supplemented by classical pieces that give the modern free jazz a timeless quality. With Brodbeck on piano, Lukas Traxel on double bass and Paul Amereller on drums, the trio offers rhythmically traditional yet harmonically balanced music.
