Adel Bakawan, founder and director of the European Institute for Studies on the Middle East and North Africa (EISMENA), examines three major ruptures that have shaped the Middle East: 9/11, the Arab Spring and the October 7 attacks. He analyses how these events triggered military interventions, failed reform movements and new conflicts. The lecture is held in French.
