About

Automatically translated from German

Verdi's Messa da Requiem combines the liturgy of a Requiem Mass with operatic orchestration and dramatic music. The choir requires powerful vocal performances ranging from archaic-sounding fortissimos to barely audible pianissimos, whilst four soloists perform in operatic-style scenes. Zurich Oratorio Choir presents this profoundly spiritual work at Tonhalle Zurich.
