Scandinavist Klaus Müller-Wille and author Martin Widmer examine what defines Nordic Noir and why Scandinavian crime fiction has become so dominant. They explore whether its success stems from the harsh landscapes and brutal crimes of the north or from superior literary quality. Widmer spent years in Sweden and now writes Swiss crime novels, whilst Müller-Wille brings extensive expertise in Scandinavian criminal cultures. The event is free to attend.
