The Zurich Jazz Orchestra presents one of Duke Ellington's late masterpieces: the 1970 recording «New Orleans Suite», which won a Grammy Award. The concert is an emotional tribute to the roots of jazz as seen through the eyes of an ageing Ellington. The programme also features highlights from other later Ellington suites such as «The Far East Suite», «Such Sweet Thunder» and «Peer Gynt». The event takes place at Kulturmarkt in Zurich.
