Musikkollegium Winterthur performs four of the six cantatas from Bach's Christmas Oratorio, composed for the Christmas and New Year season. The work combines elaborate arias, narrative recitatives and festive choruses to tell the Christmas story musically. The programme includes cantatas for Christmas Day, 27 December, the first Sunday after New Year, and Epiphany. In German.
