Aki Takase, a musician from Osaka, has established herself as a versatile avant-garde artist and has performed with John Zorn and Maria João. In this solo concert, she explores the depths of jazz through the lens of great composers such as Duke Ellington, Fats Waller and Carla Bley. Takase's playing combines intense cluster chords and daring runs with dance-like lightness, creating a unique blend of improvisation, openness and free expression.
